The natural gas reserves and recovery rate of tight sandstone reservoirs in the Sulige field Ordos Basin play a crucial role China’s industry. This study aims to enhance stable production time by summarizing geological characteristics field, discussing challenges development providing recommendations for reservoirs. results show that matrix reservoir properties, effective sand body size, gas-bearing properties exhibit strong heterogeneity characteristics, western northern parts basin edge are gas-water mixed storage areas. There obvious differences well production, cumulative decline rate, single dynamic control different regions. is primarily influenced quality pattern. Increasing density increases from 1.5/km2 4/km2 enrichment area, can raise corresponding 26.0% about 50% under existing economic technical conditions. Therefore, ensuring this challenging. To achieve long-term it necessary promote refined description technology improve through various measures such as replenishing fractures wells with depleted fractures, sidetracking horizontal wells, re-fracturing, thereby improving reserve utilization degree. Moreover, implementing negative pressure soon possible restore capacity near-depletion wells.
